Spotify won't pair with my Bluetooth hearing aids

I have Oticon hearing aids that are bluetoothed to my android phone. Everything else works: phone calls, videos, language apps, but Spotify, no. It says "playing on this phone" but nothing. I have increased the volume on the phone and in the app. Any ideas?

Can you clear the cache on your mobile device by following these steps, then reinstall the Spotify app, and finally restart your device to see if this resolves the issue you’re experiencing?
