SpotifyConnect - does not play anymore

SpotifyConnect - does not play anymore

Scenario:

  • SpotifyConnect icon: active (gray)
  • Speaker devices: Visible
  • Click to the device name, to select the speaker. Some seconds in which the icon become green (without sound), then return gray.
  • With two different speaker (A1 / A4 Pioneer with the right firmware).
  • From Blackberry and Tablet too (both latest android version)
  • Devices wiped and reinstalled (both).
  • Spotify reinstalled.
  • Network ok (Airplay and DLNA work both fine)
  • Spotify Cache deleted
  • Spotify Premium (from July 2013)
  • Always used SpotifyConnect in this configuration.

Someone can help me ?

Last update:

 

I received from spotify-helpdesk (support@spotify.com) the following email that means (from Italiano) that is necessary to open the 4070 port on the IP network and invite me to check for antivirus. 

 

I have no firewall, my Internet provider does not close any port/host, no anrtivirus/antispam installed on my network.

 

EMAIL TEXT ===========
> è probabile che si tratti di un errore di connessione .
> Prova a verificare che il router sia attivato  '' UPnP '' sia attivo .

> e di di sbloccare le seguenti porte di accesso del router .

 

> 78.31.8.0/21

> 78.31.8.0/24

> 78.31.12.0/24

> 193.182.8.0/24

 

> questo è la porta 4070

Latest updated situation is:

 

I configured my PIONEER Speaker on another similar network - thanks to the network of my friend Max 😉

 

It works !

 

So, for sure the problem is finally on my network.

Now there are two cases:

1) My provider has closed some port/services (I think not is really the case, because I can use spotify on all my devices except the SpotifyConnect service)

2) I have a fault in my network, this is the most likely case even if I can use all the network services (External disks, pc, laptop, printers, spotify - no SpotifyConnect on Pioneer, yes SpotifyConnect on tablet->mobile and viceversa)

 

So I am lost in the space, can be psychosomatic issue 🙂

 

I will come back to you when (if) solved 🙂

Well, without actions magically now all work fine also on my network.

Final diagnostic response: if a Spotify problem bring up without a valid reason, please wait and keep calm: it will leave out during your sleeping activities 🙂
