Spottily does not work w/o SIM card ?!???

Spottily does not work w/o SIM card ?!???

Hi I am needing some assistance if possible. I have had Spottily on my Android for around 2 months with no problem however to day my SIMI card quit on me. Usually my Spotify opens with no problem but since my card is giving me error and not working it will not open . It attempts to load and they I get a message its not responding and to force close or wait. When I check my settings under applications it does not show its on my card but it still won't play. Can someone please advise what the issue could be I've already been told by my carrier I need a new card but that could be a week or two before I can get one and I would hate to pay something I would be able to use. I just renewed my subscription just a little over week ago. Thanks

It should work. None of the test phones we have here have SIM cards. Do you have any other apps open at all when you're trying to open it up?

Who's your Spotify Star?

No. I just tried again after reading your reply and it just goes to the blank screen and nothing comes up . I use my spotify usually all day long and have never had any issues now that my SIM card isn't working it won't even load. Is there anyway to get a refund or credit back for this month and I can just restart my service once I get a new card? I just restarted on the 13th and now I can't use it .

Yes I just checked . When I go under my apps for Spotify it gives me the options to open or uninstall with no mention of a update so I have the latest one.

Perhaps it has gotten itself confused because you used to have a SIM and now you don't (whereas I guess the Spotify test phones never had SIMs)

Thanks for trying to help. I have a question about those steps if I clear data under settings for Spotify does it erase all of my playlists within the app?

No. When install Spotify again, it just redownload your nice playlists and starred tracks from Spotify servers.

Ok so I tried what was in that post and it did not work. I went thru the whole process and when I opened it was still just that plain gray screen. Is there a way to get a credit for the rest of the month and just deactive my Acct till I can get a new SIM card?
