  1. Check Spotify App Version: Ensure that you have the latest version of the Spotify app installed on your device. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements, and this issue may have been addressed in a recent update.

  2. Device-Specific Settings: Check your device's settings for fullscreen or immersive mode. The behavior of the status bar and navigation bar can vary based on your device and its settings. Make sure that these settings are configured correctly.

  3. Restart Your Device: Sometimes, a simple device restart can help resolve unexpected issues. Try turning your device off and then on again to see if the problem persists.

  4. Navigation Gestures: If your device uses navigation gestures, it may affect how the navigation bar behaves in fullscreen apps. Review your device's gesture settings and their interaction with fullscreen applications.

I've try to use different Navigation control but still the bar is still
showing, the only thing that short of work is to hide the Navigation Bar
it's self but it's kinda feels weird when using my phone on a normal basis,
Fullscreen/Immersive mode the only thing that I could find on my device
settings is "Force App Ignore Notch", I try to toggle it on it only ignore
the notch (the spacing on my left side of the screen), Restarting doesn't
do anything, on everything that I have try the Status Bar it's still
showing, my Spotify is on the latest version (8.8.80.599)

Hi there @MAXEED,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • Is this on all devices or only on the aforementioned Redmi? Test it on other devices if you haven't yet.
  • When did this start happening?
  • Does this affect all video podcasts or only specific one(s)?
  • Consider performing a clean reinstall, this can help with a multitude of issues.

Let us know how it goes.

I'm having the same problem and have tried all the options available but still showing status bar and navigation buttons ont he right. Very annoying. Is there a way to download the video podcasts and watch them on a 3rd party app software? Otherwise I have been watching clips of the podcast on Youtube which is not ideal.

It's not only on Redmi devices I've tried Realme devices and the issue is still happeningit's start happening since the new home UI update. It's happening to all the video podcast. I've tried to reinstall to but its not doing anything.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the info!

We've forwarded this to the attention of our tech team who'll investigate further. We'll keep you posted here as soon as we have any updates, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify.

Cheers!

I have the same issue here for a long time now it's frustrating.

Running on S22 Ultra btw.

Same problem here as well. Happened on my Pixel 7 Pro and is still happening on my Pixel 8 Pro.

I have the same problem - top bar gets stuck in fullscreen mode, I use a Redmi note 9 pro.

Same issue, S22Ultra with the latest update and latest Spotify update

Same issue on Pixel 8 Pro. I think it's android app problem

Same issue on s18 and s22

Looks like there's no one looking into this issue from Spotify. If I had LCD screen on my phone I wouldn't worry but AMOLED is a different story. Wanna be able to trade or sell this phone in the future with no screen burn-in.

These options don't work. You need to do something with the android app itself.

I've spent nearly 2 hours on this and been through 6 different people. Still no fix but they're going to email me. I'll post more pics to see if any of the steps will help someone else's issue
