Storage issues

I have the Spotify app on both my phone and tablet (both are android), and after awhile of using it on my tablet, it keeps taking up more and more space, but it doesn't do that on my phone. When I uninstall and reinstall the app, it takes up a lot less space, but it keeps taking up more over time, is it supposed to do that? I clear out the cache and clean the rest of my tablet every day, but it doesn't make a difference, and it's really annoying having to uninstall and reinstall the app every couple of months. I've deleted all the apps I can to free up space, is there anything else I can do? What does deleting the data do, will that delete all of the playlists I created? Thank you 🙂
