Store Music to SD Card and not Phone Data Partition on HTC EVO 4G LTE

Store Music to SD Card and not Phone Data Partition on HTC EVO 4G LTE

I recently got an HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint and cannot figure out how to get music transferred to the SD card on the phone. I know there are other topics like this on the forums, but I think this one merits another here.

Anyway...

The EVO has two storage areas to save data that are included with the device: the "internal storage" area (2GB) is where applications are installed, and the "phone storage" area (16GB) is room where data to be used by these applications can be placed. These definitions are a bit counter-intuitive because both storage areas are found within the phone. The device also has a slot for an SD card, which is recognized as an additional storage area by the phone. I have inserted one with 32GB of memory.

When I open Spotify on my computer, the application recognizes the "phone storage" area as the place to store the music. I would like the music to be stored on the SD card, of course, since it can store more data. I'm unsure how to change where I want the data to be stored. There is a setting on the phone to change the storage area for a few apps, but Spotify is not included as one. Much appreciated if someone could help.

*** BTW, I don't want to root my phone.
