Streaming keeps stuttering/skipping in 3G

New user here.  I love the android app, and it works great with WiFi or 4G (Sprint).  But in 3G, it seems to skip/pause A LOT.  I tried both "high" and "extreme" quality, and have turned on the buffering (whatever that setting is called).

This doesn't seem to occur with MOG or Google Music (although I have other issues with them).

Is there any way to increase the buffer size/time?  I refuse to use the low-quality (96kbs).

3G should be fine for extreme quality streaming unless you're in a weak signal area and travelling by car or train. There is no way to change the buffer size at the moment.
