Terrible app usability.

Terrible app usability.

Hi guys,

So I've been using Spotify for about a year now. It used to work fine, but the last few months it's driving me crazy. This is on my Samsung S5.

The faults:

- when opening the app I just get a black screen sometimes.

- when I select one of my downloaded songs to play it just freezes up, meaning I have to force the app to stop, which sometimes kills my phone for around 5-10 minutes (unresponsive until I leave it or take the battery out)

- if I do get as far as hearing music, it will just randomly stop at random points in the song, but the timer still moves.

- if I want to pause a song it won't. It just keeps playing until it feels like it, and again freezes up my phone.

- if I want to skip to the next song, it carries on playing the current song until it feels like going to the next track.

It's seriously stressing me out - I've spent the last year downloading all my music, and it's great when the app does work, but now it's seems like it hardly ever does. And I also feel like it's making my phone lag in general. Why the **bleep** am I paying for this??! It's infuriating to say the least.

Anyone got any ideas? The app is all up to date and I have a massive SD card so I have plenty of memory.

Thanks for the help

Nobody having similar issues?!

I have the same problems. Although I've just been using it for two months, it annoys me so much now. After the latest update the app works really slowly and it's not easy to switch or pause songs as you said. Not to mention the common problem that the app sometimes forgets that I downloaded about 3000 songs so I have to download them again. If these things won't be solved in a week then I will use another streaming service, I must say.

So this is fixed, I think!

I contacted Spotify through live chat, he checked my account and apparently the cached data or something was corrupted. They reset it from their end, and I have to clear cache, data and uninstall the app.

After downloading it again, it seems to be working ok!
