The Spotify app seems to freeze upon launching it

The Spotify app seems to freeze upon launching it

This morning was the first time I noticed it happening. When you usually launch the app, it shows the Spotify logo and then it cuts to a grey background while it loads in the content. When I launch it, it freezes on the grey background. Not everytime though. But if it does, I need to close the app and relaunch it. Sometimes it freezes again and other times it instantly loads the app. I have no idea what could've caused this. I saw that it was updated 3 days ago but I've been using it for the last 3 days and today was the first time it happened. I already tried clearing the app data but I haven't tried reinstalling it so I'll try that next.

This type of issue, when the app is not starting properly, is commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your device. Since you haven't tried yet, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace all damaged files and ensure you're running the latest version of the app.

 

If the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
