Too many ads

I have a free account but am getting way more ads than I expected. It's about 5 ads for every 2 songs. Sometimes even after just 1 song. This doesn't seem right?
Using android app.

Feeling uncomfortable to listen songs due to advertisements. But for every song it is really uncomfortable.

2 30 second ads followed by 2 song plays and then got 4 30 second ads again... I am speechless.

okay so I've been using Spotify for a few years and I've had premium a few times. every single year it just keeps getting worse without premium and Spotify is doing this on purpose just to get us to buy premium and waste money. its like every 2 seconds I get an ad, at first you could skip it after 5 seconds so it wasn't that bad but now its multiple 30 second unskippable ads and its actually like psychological warfare at this point just hearing that ad lady's voice. okay so I can't skip ads, I can't turn off shuffle but iPhones can, and I get worse audio quality? Spotify is just making the free experience terrible and every year I say I'm gonna start downloading songs instead but I still want my Spotify wrapped. I love wrapped but it's honestly not worth it anymore.
