Tracks that will play but won't sync

Tracks that will play but won't sync

Got this problem with a couple of playlists.

They are set to be synced to the phone. The playlist says that it is downloaded. But only a few of the tracks have the green marker beside them to say they are actually local files. The tracks that don't have this won't play in offline mode as they don't exist on the phone. But they will play OK when I am in online mode.

If I select Un-Download Playlist, all the tracks un-sync and when I try to download again, it's only the same tracks that actually download

I've tried deleting and re-creating the playlist

Any ideas? This feature is critical to me otherwise I'm as well switching to WinAmp

Hi there,

I had a similar issue last week - one specific album in a playlist that would not download. I assumed at the time that, because it was a pre-release, it was only available for streaming and not for download. Thinking about it though I'm not sure whether this is the real reason. Either way, after a couple of days it seemed to sort itself out and download all the tracks (once the album was on general release, but again this might not be the real reason).

Are your problem tracks quite new too - or a mixture of stuff?

The albums are from a mixture of years. Some as old as the 70's lol

eg Sonic Attack by Hawkwind from 1981, 20 tracks on playlist, only 3 have the marker. Of the remaining 17 tracks 6 of them play in offline mode and the rest won't

I've also just re-checked a few other playlists that this has happened to and some of the songs play in offline mode, some of them don't. None of the tracks that play ok have the green marker.

Hmmm. Un-downloaded all my playlists that did not have local tracks then re-downloaded all of them and it's fixed itself.
