Trouble getting a playlist to work on my Note8

Have googled the problem to death, and nothing's helped. I have the local files on my playlist on my computer, and there they play just fine. I go onto my phone, flip the download switch, and nothing happens. I've tried toggling it on and off while both the phone and computer were connected to the same wifi, phone to computer with USB, turned off the computer's firewall...every time it does the same thing - says downloading for a fraction of a second, then it stops. Trying to play a song just says it's unable to play it.

Hello @manollette!

 

Have you tried creating a hotspot connection with your phone and then connecting your computer to that network and sync?

That...worked for some reason. I'm baffled. But at this point I'm too happy to have it working to question the development team on this one. Thank you!
