Turning off Bluetooth speaker no longer pauses music

Until the last update, when I turned off my Bluetooth speaker Spotify would automatically pause. Since the last update, the app starts playing the music through the phone rather than pausing. This change of default behavior is very annoying. Can we change it back?!

This also happens when I place a phone call (the music changes playing from Bluetooth to my phone speakers). I wish the music would pause as it used to.

No, it's still occurring for me. Interestingly enough, it only happens sporadically though. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to look into it further and find out what causes is to happen 100 percent of the time. I should mention the same problem happens when I removed my wired headphones. The app used to pause, but now it no longer does that.
