My Question or Issue:

Spotify app version 8.8.2.434. Unable to Spotify Connect to Sonos after a couple of times successfully connecting to my Sonos Move or Bar. Spotify Connect used to work without much issues before this version. Spotify (service) works when using the Sonos app. Cannot reproduce the issue with other Android 10 devices running 8.8.0.347. Could be a specific device issue. I will rollback to 8.8.0.347 and a regression test of the issue.


Workaround

Remove Spotify Music app and reinstall it again.

Thank you for this post. Does reinstalling the app fix the issue? Or only temporarily? If the issue persists, consider the trying out the following:

  • Performing a clean reinstall instead of a regular one.
  • Testing with different networks. You can make a hotspot with your phone if necessary.
  • Turn off "Show Local Devices Only" from the settings as shown here.
