Unplayable Songs.

Unplayable Songs.

Hi, so I've been searching for an answer to this and I can not find one. I recently tried to download a playlist from itunes to spotify. It plays perfectly fine on my computer, but all of the songs are unplayable on my phone. And it's making me mad because I've tried everything to get it to play on my phone. I've also tried adding the songs to spotify directly from local files to my playlist. Again, it's playable on my computer, but not my phone. What I've tried is downloading the songs to make them playable offline, uninstalling spotify on my phone and computer, logging out, and deleting a lot of stuff off my phone for more memory. Does anyone know how to fix this? Because I'm stumped. I've done it before on my desktop, and it downloaded perfectly on my phone. Suddenly, they went unavailable and I don't understand why so I was trying to get them back. And recently I sold my desktop so I'm using my laptop. I don't know why but it only worked on that desktop. Also the account I'm doing this on is a premium so that shouldn't be an issue.

If you're following these steps and local files won't download, it's most likely a firewall issue but here's the full list of things to check.

  • Your PC and mobile must be connected to the same Network/SSID and spotify should be running on your PC.
  • In your router settings, check that UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled.
  • Make sure that Windows shows your network as private and not public.
  • Set exceptions for spotify in any firewall or internet security programme. If you are unsure how to do this, temporarily disable them.
  • Check that you haven't already hit the limit of 3,333 downloads per device or 9,999 downloads across all devices.
  • If you are using a wifi network outside of your home, there is every chance that the protocols used by spotify for downloading are blocked.

If you still can't make it work, you can create a mobile hotspot on your mobile and connect your PC to this hotspot via wifi. Syncing the local files should then work.

I will try these thank you!
