Very specific Windows -> HTC One m8 problem with local tracks

Very specific Windows -> HTC One m8 problem with local tracks

So problem is as follows, and only affects the m8:

If I have a playlist that consists of files not in Spotify otherwise (Namely soundtracks of things), the tracks will not sync to m8. I've tried different PC's (Laptop running Win 8 instead of win 8.1), having PC using a wire to the box, having PC using wlan as well as passthrough internet from pc to m8 using both previously mentioned.  I've also tried different connection all together (Wireless hotspot from my Note II)

I've also tried to scoure all the information about ports used by Spotify and going trough different settings that might in some remote scenario help.

The playlist sits at 0% despite all of this.

To add insult to injury it WILL sync with my Galaxy S2, as well as Galaxy Note II.

Curiously enough once synced to S2 / Note 2, the tracks were synced from those to m8.

It's not a problem per se for me as I can use additional devices like that, but for someone else it might be larger issue so I figured I'd give you heads up.

My carrier should it matter is Sonera (Finland), but phones aren't aquired through contract. M8 is unlocked international version if that's of any significance.

I'll try to keep my eye here should you need any extra information.

without going further into it from work I assume factory reset counts as a clean install. And as I said issue is reproduceable.

Also happens when not using SD. And again I emphasize that issue goes away if using another device in between. I'm unlikely to try to fix it assuming you don't need more data on it.

Post is here simply as a note that "hey this is an actual thing".

Just being curious, are you a Premium user? And, how many offline devices do you have right now?

Yes, I am premium user. For offline devices in use I have my m8. I stream using a laptop and my desktop. For occasional testing I have 3 more android devices from which Note 2 is my go to for the fix, and is a borderline tablet for casual use. Aka WiFi connected but no SIM.
