Hi all,
My mobile operator offers me 10 GB traffic to https websites. Does the Spotify app fetch music from https servers so that I can make use of the offer. Thanks for any help.

Doesn't your provider give you 10GB data for all internet connection like internet, apps & streaming?
Otherwise your country has some weard regulations...

I'm living in the Netherlands, Provider KPN, gives me 10GB data.

No. He gives me 300 MB for regular sites and 10 GB for https. Don't ask me for the logic behind that.

Wow that's not cool at all! @Nico @Jordi do you guys know the solution?

Hey there,

That's odd. less data when using http.

I can't confirm, but I assume that they do use https instead of http.

Just be sure that you are extra careful when using Spotify on your mobile. If you've Spotify Premium, then I'd recommend to sync your songs for offline usage as soon as you're on a WiFi connection.

Spotify AP: http[S]://lon[X]-accesspoint-[X].ap.spotify.com:[PORT]

Both APs are reachable on http and https.

Can I force the spotify app to use only https?

I can actually answer myself. Yes, Spotify on Android goes through https. So, that's some good news for me. Plus, I purchased Premium some hours ago.
