Where can I save MP3 Files so Spotify can play them?

I've tried the playlist thing. It doesn't work. I'm assuming this has something to do with the astonishingly poor job Spotify's designers have done with the app. Apparently, I'm not going to get an elegant, in app solution to this problem. If anyone knows where I can save an MP3 file onto my phone so spotify will play it that would be great.

Hi, to play local files you need to sync then from a desktop pc to your phone. The mobile app cannot play local files stored on your phone I'm afraid.

Yeah, I've been trying that for the last few days. Spotify decided to erase my local files (again), and this time won't download them from my PC playlists. I've tried using multiple PCs, multiple wireless networks, firewalls on and off, different routers, nothing works. So there's no way for spotify to play an Mp3 file on an android device?

Not directly I'm afraid. If you post in the desktop section of the community in sure someone there will be able to help you troubleshoot getting the files synced
