White screen and lost all downloaded tracks

Twice now since the last version release, on my Droid X, I have encountered the white screen, but was unable to recover, even after powering down and removing the battery.  All tracks were lost.  The app remained on the phone after I cleared all Spotify data in the app manager in Settings.  I am now in the process of redownloading all my playlists.

 

Both times the white screen happened after I was shuffling tracks in a folder containing multiple playlists (rather than shuffling a single playlist), and then stopped the app, and then tried to start it later.  When I have shuffled tracks in a single playlist, I haven't gotten the white screen.

Is the playlists large? If so maybe it could be overloading the app since its randomly choosing a song.
