Why won't searched/played songs stay HIDDEN in "Your Music" section?

So you search a song or album and play it. Then it shows up under "Your Music" and after I've added it to a playlist, I dont need to see the song listed there anymore. So, I click the menu, hide the song, and go on with my day. Now, I close the app, and reopen again later, and all the songs I hid last time are back, in the same order, and I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to find my playlist that's buried among a bunch of useless garbage that I just spent 10 minutes painstakingly hiding song by song. 

This never used to be the case until recently, and it's really frustrating. Can someone please fix this?
