Widget Controls in notification area are gone (Android)

I noticed that I can't skip or replay songs through my notification widget anymore. Even play/pause is gone. Why? Is there a way to reactivate it? Since it is not compatible with my navigation app, I have to switch over to Spotify anytime I want to skip the playing song...

There are 2 options only, to shuffle or to like the song.

This type of issue is commonly related to some damaged cache stored on your device from recent updates. In this case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This can be helpful in getting rid of any damaged files that might be causing trouble and also makes sure you have the latest app version.

If the issue persists, include in your next response the make, model and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
