My Question or Issue
Hallo,
Anna
Hey @anna_ssnk,
Welcome to the Community!
Hope you don't mind us replying in English.
We'd recommend running a clean reinstall of the app, following this Step-by-step guide exactly. This will assure that you're running the latest version of the app and that there is no corrupted cache which could be causing issues.
It's also a good move to check if there is any Battery optimization processes on your device and disable those for the Spotify app.
Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
Kann es sein dass die Kopfhörer Buchse einen kleinen Wackelkontakt hat.
Hab das gleiche Problem dass die Musik sofort stoppt wenn die Kopfhörer Verbindung einen kurzen Aussetzer hat.
Hey @Tabithahita,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
Hope you don't mind us replying in English, as that's the Community official language.
Just to confirm, did you try a reinstallation of the app from your end? If not, we recommend that you follow the steps shared by @Alex above.
If this doesn't help, tell us if this happens when using other headphones and other devices.
Keep us in the loop.
I had the same problem and it does not work if I delete everything and reinstall it. I can’t download any song and the several songs stop to play at 9 seconds. Can someone help please?
Hi @Betty_Lu!
Could you let us know the following:
Does the issue persist when you switch to a different network / turn on mobile data? If possible, try logging in to another mobile device (a friend's or a relative's would do) to see if the playback would stop there as well. You can also ask a friend or a relative who uses Spotify to log in to their account on your phone to test if they would experience the same.
We'll be on the lookout for your reply. Cheers!
Hey @Neropage,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. Hope you don't mind a reply in English, as it is the official language of the Community 🙂
First up, we'd like to know if this happens across devices or only on your phone.
On another note, would you mind trying if the same happens using a different internet connection?
If so, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hi @Eni, thank you for your Support, but The Problem is Not solved jet, I still cant enjoy my music for sometimes one song or sometimes more then just a few Songs at all. I dont know anymore what i can do to fix it. I tryed the clean reinstall today but nothing has changed. I dont have this problem during the use of Spotify on my Laptop or my console… I really am frustraded because i cant hear my music properly at the Gym, in my Car or anywhere with my IPhone …
Hey @Neropage,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
To continue investigating this case, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
Also, if you have a Premium subscription, would you mind checking if this happens using the Offline mode as well?
Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hallo, ich hatte genau dasselbe Problem und ich habe meine Lösung gefunden. Mein Spotify account war mit meinem Discord account verlinkt, sobald ich diese Verbindung löschte, war das Problem beseitigt 🙂
Hey @LadyShiro,

We're glad to know that everything is working fine now. We appreciate the time you took following the process you mentioned and sharing what works for you. Hopefully, this tip will fix the issue for other users too.
In case you need anything else, remember that we're just a post away.
Cheers!
Hi guys, I seem to have the same or a similar problem. Across my devices (Samsung smartphone and PC) spotify pauses the song about 6-9 seconds in. Also if I listen to a playlist in the morning while driving to work, the playlist will continue in the evening, but only for one song. After that it stops and I have to restart the playlist. The same thing happens, when I start or restart the PC. Installations are fresh and up to date. Maybe you can think of a solution? Thanks in advance!
Hi there @beko_wicz,
Thanks for reaching out. Could you also check if you have an active Discord connection to your account? If you do, try removing it, that seems to have helped other people.
Hope this helps.
Hi, not fully. It worked in my car, I could continue to listen where I left.
But when I booted my PC the song finished and afterwards it stopped 😞
I deactivated the Discord connection, restarted and reconnected.
Hey there @beko_wicz,
Thanks for getting back to us.
Would you mind letting us know if the same happens while using a different internet connection?
On another note, could you let us know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update?
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi Eni! Normally my PC is connected via LAN-cable, but I also tested WLAN and it still happens. After restarting the wait-list is empty.
I can't really tell if this happend because of any update, if so, no major update. The only "event" which happend recently was two days without internet because of a technical problem from the provider's side.
Hey @beko_wicz,
Thanks for your reply.
We currently have an ongoing issue thread about playlists restarting in the desktop app. Please make sure to vote and subscribe in order receive updates.
Regarding the issue where your music pauses after a few seconds, is this currently only happening in the mobile app? If yes, we'd suggest checking your phone's settings and making sure that Spotify is set as an exception in any memory- or battery-optimizing services.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi, the problem with the music stopping after a few seconds has been solved by using the discord-trick. Now it's just the playlist restarting issue. I will subscribe to the other thread, thank you!
i do have the same problem since a few weeks. Music stopps after a few seconds, some aren‘t able to play at all, even that i downloaded them and have premium account. I don‘t have a discort connection. Please help.
