Will local files count against my download limit?

Solved!

Will local files count against my download limit?

After uploading local files on the desktop and copying them to a playlist, then downloading them on my Android (because it was greyed out otherwise), I'm curious if because I'm downloading it it'll count against my 3,333 song limit on this device. Most songs are ones that are available on Spotify but owned prior to subscribing.

Hey, @Lyndseynice
Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

Local music files sync to devices do not count towards the 3,333 track limit per device, up to three for a total of 9,999 tracks offline. Those track limits refer to Spotify streaming music downloaded to those devices for listening offline.

Although local music files will still use up device memory, so make sure your device has as much memory as possible before syncing local files and also offlining Spotify content.

If you have any other further questions or need more help, let me know! I'd love to help!
