Same here, Google Pixel 7 Pro. Mine will also show that I was playing songs from playlists that I haven't touched in days as my last song. Perfect example, listening to Sonne by Ramstein, started watching a video from Snapchat so the audio on Spotify paused. When I went back into the app the song that was "playing" was apparently Jungle by X Ambassadors which is the first song on my custom "Favorite Songs" playlist. I haven't listened to that song in months and I haven't touched that playlist in days.

I'm having lock screen issues as well. The lock screen artwork and song info gets stuck on the first song I play. I also can't use the time bar to seek through the current song.

I've logged in and out, done a full clean reinstall, cleared cache, etc. and the problem comes back. Even when it works "properly", the artwork flickers in the background at the start of the song.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A14.

Hey folks!

Thanks for reaching out.
What I'd firstly advise in this situation is to go over the steps for clearing your cached data and a complete clean reinstall of the app, mentioned by @wycinanki.

If this doesn't help, send us the following details:

  • Your device's make & model
  • Its OS version
  • Your current Spotify app version
  • A link to a video recording of the issue (or you could upload to the forum in .mp4 format)

Much appreciated! We'll be on the lookout 🙂

Same, been having issues for about that amount of time. Uninstalling and reinstalling at least temporarily fixed it, but I expect the issue to pop up again soon. Plus, it's a pain to do all that, and it clears your search history 😝

Been having a similar issue in the past 1-2 weeks

Thank you Vasil, I know I tried the reinstall and clearing cache but it came back almost immediately. I believe it worked for 1-2 songs and then got stuck again.

I'll test it again today to see if it happens again and then try those steps one more time then get back to you.
