Offline is a fluke ???

Hello . I checked a few days in a row the data usage off spotify . When i use OFFLINE or WIFI my data usage is allmost the same? How is this possible ?? Is offline not working. I have thsi on Both Desktop and android app.. please help

When I go on spotify it doesn't load featured playlists.
