bluetooth headset play button

bluetooth headset play button

My Bluetooth headset is having media keys for volume, play/pause, next and previous track. Volume is a own volume for the headset, next and previous is working fine with the spotify app, but the play/pause button does not work with the app. The Google Music app is working fine with all buttons, the old Music App was working too, just as some (not all) 3rd party apps.

It would be great if spotify would work with all media keys, not only a part of them.

listening on Deezer (Windows, Android and Sonos) until Spotify works on Android ICS.

Same problem here with Jabra headsets/headphones.  Wimp and the standard music player work as expected.

Same problem. Motorola S305. Any clues as how to fix this?

This problem is again current!

Bluetooth Play/pause looses it's function after a few minutes.

Please fix soon!

  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge
  • Android 6.0.1
  • Spotify 8.4.19.792 armV7
  • LG HBS-910 Bluetooth Headset
  • reinstallation did not help

Same here on a galaxy s8 7.0

Any solution? :@

I am also having this problem. I have a Pixel 2 and Bose Soundsport headphones. The volume keys work in both directions, the pause button works, but to go from pause back to play (same button) it does not work. I've uninstalled the app and cleared cache a few times. This has worked briefly but the problem happens again after a short amount of time.

The play/pause button work for all of my other audio related apps.

Please fix as this is VERY frustrating.

It seems this may be related to newer versions of android. The issue resolved itself for me after an update from Spotify, so I feel this is either on Spotify or Google to address.

Could be, it happened randomly a few weeks ago. What version on spotify are you running? I'm wondering if I downloaded an older version it would fix this.

@tskarl3

The problem even exists for (too) many months now.

I reverted to version 8.4.2.636 armV7  which is working completely fine for me but I am still waiting for a permanent solution from Spotify.
