I have local files working flawlessly on my pc but after putting the files on my phone, they refuse to download. the songs are greyed out and I cant do anything with them. I tried playing the songs on google play, they work fine. but when I come back to spotify they are greyed out and unplayable/downloadable. the songs are playable and work fine in a playlist on pc.

Hey @3_r7m-sh5bgwc,

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here.

Could you give the steps here a go and perform a clean reinstall of the app on both devices?  They are more thorough than a regular reinstall and make sure that no corrupted files remain that might be the reason for such behavior.

You should also remove all playlists with imported files and start the whole process from scratch using the instructions in this guide. It's a good idea this time do it over another internet connection, e.g. a mobile hotspot, if that's an option.

Keep us posted! We'll be happy to lend a hand if you need more help.

I should also add that i've done exactly what i've done before and it worked without problems, the songs downloaded and work fine.

new update.
after reinstalling the app, all songs that previously worked before, are now no longer playable or downloadable despite being stored on the device.
