"Liking" a song on android no longer adds to "Saved" on desktop

My Question or Issue

Since they updated the android app, whenevr I "Like" a song on my android phone it is added to my "Liked Songs" playlist. However, when I go to my windows desktop, the songs I like on my phone have not been added to my library and I must manually find them and re-add them. This can be extremely time consuming and frustrating to ensure I get them all. I don't underdstand why this change was made when before I could save a song on my phone and it would update on all my devices.

Furthemore, there doesn't seem to be an option to access this new "Liked Songs" playlist from my desktop.
