My Question or Issue

I want to save the songs in my SD Card. The usual way to do it is:

- "Settings" (the little gear)

- "Other"

- SD Card, etc.

But the word "Other" is not clickable, I tap it again and again but nothing happens. It is behaving as if it is normal text (not a menu option).

Hey @joabfarias,

Thanks for posting here 🙂

If you want to change the place where the downloaded content is stored, you can click on Storage under Other.

In case you don't see that option, you can send us a screenshot of the settings. We'll look into this further.

We always strive to improve our app and the experience with it and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We'll make sure to pass it on to the right team.

Sometimes the app can "see" the sd card, sometimes not (but the sd card is working perfectly, other apps have normal access).

I will try an older version of the app.

This is a screenshot of one time when the "Storage" option did not appear (but the card is there, and is readable by other apps).

Hi @joabfarias,

Thank you for your reply!

It seems like the app is having trouble recognizing your SD card. To start, please run a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

Please let us know how it goes.

Sorry, sir, I will not install/uninstall/reinstall anything. The software is broken, and it is up to Spotify developers to fix the issue. All the other apps are working (and have perfect access to the sdcard).

To anyone interested in the solution, I just installed an older version (7.0.0.1371). This version recognizes the sdcard perfectly (which should not be a problem at all) and lets me see which artists have songs copied to the sdcard (so I could listen to them while offline - the up to date versions does not show this information).

I hope the Spotify service never stops working with older versions, because the new ones (which lack some features the old ones have) have serious problems that should never happen.

Hi there @joabfarias,

Thanks for the post!

Running a clean reinstall of the app will insure that you're running the latest supported version of the app and that all possible corrupted cache issues are cleared.

We don't recommend running older versions of the app or ones downloaded from unofficial sources as we cannot guarantee that they are safe and that they will be working properly.

Take care!
