"Playing from your library" doesn't show current song

My Question or Issue

 While playing songs, the "currently playing" song doesn't change.  I hear the next song, but it isn't displaying properly.  This occurs if I'm looking at the whole screen current item, or in the Spotify home with the "Current" song at the bottom, or in my car.  I can hit the "next" button (or swipe right) and go to the next song, but the display remains the same.  The way my phone will display the proper current artist/song is by toggling from the home screen to the now playing screen, or vice-versa.
