"Playing music is not yet supported" - Google Assistant

Solved!

"Playing music is not yet supported" - Google Assistant

I'm going crazy trying to get assistant to work with Spotify. I have linked it, but now it just says "Playing music is not yet supported". I'm using a galaxy s8. Has anyone figured it out?

Seems to be working for me following an update to Google.

I had a problem where Spotify wouldn't start playback based on voice commands. Spotify support suggested I should log out and back in to Spotify app and now I'm stuck with this error message no matter what I do. Tried unlinking and linking again with multiple Spotify accounts.

I used to work for me but since yesterday it doesn't.

I think its a Google Assistant issue. Same thing happens with Play Music.

Edit: Curiously  the command "play music on my TV" works!

This issues also happens to me, I'm also using on the Galaxy S8+.

I can't play music with the it. I've linked the default music player to my Spotify account. It was working well before. But for some reasons it is now not working.

This also happens to the latest new feature, song identifying. I was able to find out what song it was playing. But now it told me it can't identify songs yet whenever I ask it about what song it is playing.

The weird thing is after I reinstalled the Google app to the latest version and set up the assistant again. These issues were solved. But after a day. These issues happened again.

It seems it's a problem with the Google assistant.
