spotify linking tracks when synced

Hi

When i sync my playlists to my android phone local files get linked to the spotify database. I dont want my local files linked. Can this be turned off anyway? As itis screwing up my last.fm scrobbles.

If the local track to be synced is on the server Spotify will naturally download this version. If you wish to change this to force your local file you will need to modify the track name (and id3 tag) to make it a little different.

I don't want to change the Id3 tag as this will also result in incorrect scrobbles to last.fm. seems crazy spotify won't let you play your own music on the android app.
