spotify not showing up in "your music services"

hi, i have an android phone, i had a problem where i couldn't get the google assistant to play anything on spotify, then i went to check if spotify was selected in the "your music services" section under google assistant settings and discovered that not only was it not selected, but it isn't showing up at all, how may i resolve this issue?

here's some more info i guess:

- i have a premium plan

- i have a oneplus 6t that's running android 9.0

- i attached a screenshot if it helps

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

We'd recommend clearing the cache for Google Assistant and Google Home and reinstalling those apps. After that run a  clean reinstall of the Spotify app. Please follow the exact steps from this Spotify Answer.

If after that Spotify does not appear as a Music service, it might not be available in your region. In some countries third party apps like Spotify and other music services are not available via Google assistant.
