spotify suddenly stopped playing right now, is it down?

I can browse and search for songs but whenever I hit the "play" button nothing comes out my earphones. Issues began around 10 minutes ago. using samsung galaxy s4.

Hey @alternat3go are you still having trouble? The first thing to try is a clean reinstallation.

1. From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps.
2. Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and select Uninstall. For older Android devices, navigate to Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications.
3. Open Google Play then search for and install the Spotify Music app.

Don’t worry about losing your favorite songs - all your playlists will be waiting for you when you sign in again. You’ll just need to redownload any previously synced music.

If you're still having trouble please confirm:

1. Your device's operating system. 

2. The Spotify app version installed.
