spotify wont start on samsung smart tv

My Question or Issue

when i open up the spotify app, nothing happens, basically just a grey screen with a little rectangle with a .png logo (not spotify's logo, a .png logo) 

i have tried:

Restarting the tv back to manufacturer settings

restarting by plugging the tv out for a couple minutes

switching between wifis

redownloading the app several times

i even tried sharing the music from my phone to my tv, but it doesnt recognise the tv as if i dont have the app on it

We'd suggest that you check if the firmware of your TV has any pending updates.
