won't let me play a song by clicking on it

I can click on a song and I can see that it is clicking on it on my Android but it will not play the selected song. It makes me start by pressing a play button at the top above my liked songs and then adding the specific songs to the queue. I have cleared cache, logged out then back in, I deleted the app and redownloaded it and the problem is not solved.

Kudos for all the initial troubleshooting! We understand you have already reinstalled the app on your devices. Can you confirm if you followed these steps to perform a clean reinstall of the app? If you haven't, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

If the above doesn't do the trick, then we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• The make/model and OS of the affected device.
• The exact Spotify version you're running there.
• Does this happen if you open your account on a different mobile device? You can ask for the device of a relative or a friend to open your account there and check. 
• Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
