Car Thing: No visuals, just backlight. Cannot Interact. Reboot temporarily fixes it.

My Question or Issue

Almost every time I start my car, the car thing will:

Turn on,

Show the Spotify Logo,

Then will go black with only the backlight visible.

None of the dials or buttons work, but it can still hear and respond to "Hey Spotify"

Usually a reboot fixes the problem for that listening session, but it will return next time I power cycle the car thing. I have tried a couple factory resets and it doesn't help the problem.

I have attached an image of what the screen looks like when it is "on" but not interactable.

Could you let us know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update? 

On another note, would you mind checking if the same happens while using a different phone?
