Podcast connections by itself in the car

Podcast connections by itself in the car

Hi,

I'm a new Spotify user.

I started to use Spotify in my car by connecting my Iphone to the radio with a charging cable. It works great and I love it, but ...

Since à listened to my first podcast in the car, every time I connect my phone to listen to some music or a new podcast, the car keeps on turning on the very first podcast I listened (and finished).

Why is this podcast saved on my car or phone to do that ?

Can I stop that ?

Thank you !

Hi there @chouchou76,

Thanks for posting this in the Community!

We'd like to ask you to remove your cached Spotify data, which may be causing this unusual behaviour:

  1. Open Spotify.
  2. Choose the Home tab.
  3. Tap the gear icon.
  4. Select Storage.
  5. Touch the Delete Cache button.
  6. Tap Delete Cache again.

Let us know how it goes!
We'll be on the lookout for your response.

Cheers!

Hi,

I already did that, but nothing changed …

Hi @chouchou76,

Thanks for the reply!

It's possible that Apple's CarPlay automatically resumes the playback when it detects that a connection has been established. Could you try the following:

  1. Go to your iPhone's settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and make sure Content & Privacy Restrictions is toggled on, then go to Allowed apps.
  2. Find CarPlay and disable it.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
