My Question or Issue

I have an artist I listen to (Luna Kills) whose entire music catalogue has vanished. All songs are either missing from playlists or are greyed out. Also, no songs or albums appear on their profile. Is there a reason for this?

Hey @TAxel, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

Content availability on platforms like Spotify depends on a few factors like licensing deals. The copyright owner can make the decision to take down their content in certain regions or everywhere. It is possible that this is one of such scenarios.

In such cases, there is not much Spotify can do. Once the copyright owner like the artist or the label decides to make the content available again, you will be able to stream/download it as before. Just to confirm, you can still check the content on different platforms (Desktop App, Mobile App, the Web Player) or with another account and let me know if you are able to access it.

I hope that sheds some light on the matter. For more info you can check out Missing Content.

For anything else, don't hesitate to reach out. 🙂

I just wanted to mention that sometimes these things work themselves out, and it could just be a temporary issue. Independent bands often face challenges with distribution that might cause their music to disappear while things get sorted. I’ve also seen cases where artists remove their own music for creative or business reasons, like reworking tracks, preparing for a new release, or switching platforms. There’s not much Spotify can do, but if you keep the songs in your library, they’ll be available again if/when they return.
