Avoiding/Eliminate Duplicates

It would be very good to get possibility of avoiding or to find and eliminate songduplicates in different playlists!

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better. 

When adding a song for the second time to a playlist, you should get an in-app notification "Already added" and the option to add it anyway or don't add it again. If this isn't how it works on your end, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us a screenshot where we can see the same song duplicated in the playlist? Also, make sure to send us their URI. We'll take a closer look.

Hi Eni,

the problem arises when i save suggestions of playlists from spotify in my bibliothek.

Especially when the playlists are from similar or same music genre (for example "country" or "oldies" there are lots of duplicates in different playlists.

So is there allready possibility to avoid this or to find and eliminate the duplicates - and I don`t mean in a manuel way?

If not this was my idea to create!

Thanks for the clarification. Moving your post back to Ideas won't be possible, so please consider submitting it again and explaining in greater detail what the requested feature is. Consider the realistic implementations of it though, as eliminating duplicates from saved playlists would not be possible, as you cannot edit other people's playlists. Nonetheless, the potential for a good suggestion is here, so consider how it could work. Also consider checking out this idea, it's not the same, but the functionality is similar and may achieve the desired effect.
