Blend story not playing music or showing a song

Blend story not playing music or showing a song

Hello,

I have been encountering an issue for the past month or so now where when I go to check a blend story, it doesn’t play any music or show a song at the end that pertains to the mix like it usually does. It’s just silent. My account was recently hacked by someone in Brazil trying to boost artist listen counts and my whole algorithm is messed up because of it so I don’t know if that is the root cause or not, but none of the music the hacker played on repeat seems to be bleeding into the blend but since the incident this issue has raised and it doesn’t seem like the music is updating as much in the blend. Any assistance in this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there @mintycow2,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

Just to confirm, is this happening with all Blends?

Also, have you made sure that the other user(s) are following the playlist? Keep in mind that the info populated for the stories is based on the listening history of the users who have joined the Blend, so if no one else is following it, this could be a reason why no songs are played/shown in the stories.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hello @novy, from what I’ve noticed it looks like it is only one blend that this is happening to. We’re both active users on Spotify and have the blend saved as well and I can see the taste percentage fluctuate as it’s taking our listening habits into account.

Hey @mintycow2,

Thanks for getting back to us with this info!

This is a bit odd. Could you try deleting the Blend and creating a new one to see if that makes any difference?

Let us know how it goes.
