My Question or Issue

I know there were major changes in 2020 regarding what comedy content was available due to royalty disputes, but does anyone know what changed in the first couple of weeks of 2024? I had a comedy playlist with over 500 tracks and 85% of the tracks are now grayed out/unavailable.

We don't have any more information to share about this. However, we can confirm that the content we have on Spotify varies over time and between countries. It all depends on permissions from rights holders. No worries, we add new content every day, so if you can’t find something, it may appear (or reappear) soon.}

I’ve seen this standard reply used many times here.  I’m not talking about not being able to find a song or two, or even an album. I’m talking about most of a 500+ track playlist of many different comedians suddenly disappearing. So, as a paying customer who primarily uses Spotify for comedy, who do I need to talk to that actually does have more information to share?

Well, I noticed a couple of my old tracks showing back up on the “recommended” playlist even though they were still grayed out on my original playlist. Attempting to refresh the playlist did not update any grayed out tracks, so it turns out the solution was to go to the [ . . . ] menu on about 400 tracks in order for them to show as available again.
