Hello,
I'm using Spotify Premium on my Android phone when I'm not at home as well as on my Windows 10 PC when I'm at home.
When I use Spotify on my phone I want the data usage to be as low as possible so I set the Audio Quality -> Cellular Streaming to "Low"
When I use Spotify on my PC I want the best audio quality so I set Wi-Fi-Streaming to "Very High"
This for me is logic and understandable.
What I do not understand is how the Data Saver -> Audio Quality interferes with these settings? Does it set the Audio Quality to Low for both, Cellular AND Wi-Fi (which is NOT what I want). Or does it only influence Cellular?
And if the Data Saver option indeed interferes with Wi-Fi (again, NOT what I want) but I DO want the included "Disable Artist Canvases" feature for Cellular, how can I achieve that? Does the Cellular Streaming set to "Low" also incluce disabled Artist Canvases by any chance?
Thanks in advance.

Data Saver feature in Spotify affects both cellular and Wi-Fi streaming, so if you enable Data Saver and set the Audio Quality to "Low," it will apply to both your cellular and Wi-Fi streaming settings. This means that when you're using Spotify on your PC with Wi-Fi, the audio quality will also be set to "Low" if Data Saver is enabled.
Unfortunately, there is currently no way to individually customize the audio quality settings for cellular and Wi-Fi streaming while using Data Saver. Enabling Data Saver will apply the same audio quality settings to both types of connections.
Regarding the "Disable Artist Canvases" feature, it is separate from the audio quality settings. If you enable Data Saver, it will not automatically disable Artist Canvases. To disable Artist Canvases, you can do so in the settings separately, regardless of whether Data Saver is enabled or disabled.
Keep in mind that the features and settings in Spotify are subject to change with app updates, so it's always a good idea to check the latest version of the app or the Spotify website for any specific settings or options related to audio quality and data usage.

If you look in Playback settings there should also be a canvas option towards the bottom

Thank your for your reply.
I now do understand that Data Saver affects both, Cellular and Wi-Fi. Therefore I won't use it.
The thing I don't understand is what you wrote about the "Disable Artist Canvases" feature. In my setting's it's baked into the "Data Saver" setting and there is no separate setting for it. Do I miss something here?
