Daylist suggesting music I've never listened to

My Question or Issue

my day list keeps suggesting a music genre I have never listened to and I do not know how to get it to stop.  Please help.  previously we found other names we didn't recognize on our family plan, we've removed them and changed the passwords and have seen no issues since then.  My guess had been that it impacted my day list however every Saturday morning it gives me a list of a music genre I do not listen and do not know how to fix it.  please help.

Daylist is based on the niches and microgenres you typically stream at certain times of the day and week and it updates multiple times a day. With this said, the more you listen, the more daylist will be personalized for you.

It is possible that you see this genre because of the issue you had with the unrecognized names in the Family plan and your listening habits have been impacted.

To help Spotify's algorithm, you can save more of the content that you like in order to improve the recommendations you see and you can also exclude content from your Taste Profile to let us know what you're not so interested in.

Kudos for removing the unknown names and updating the passwords on your accounts. To further secure them I also recommend logging out of all devices via the Overview Page, as well as checking out this help article.

i’m having the same problem with my daylist constantly, but i haven’t had any weird activity on my account that would lead me to believe someone else is using it to listen to music. just a bit ago i was listening to a playlist called garden indie made by spotify (all songs released probably within the last 3-5 years) and as i hadn’t used spotify basically all day, my daylist refreshed and now says “timeless oldies sunday evening - classic pop, 1990s, and retro”. it explicitly states the recommendations are based off of the music i was listening to just an hour before, which fits none of those categories. i don’t understand how this feature is helpful if it doesn’t actually recommend songs based on your recent listening history/liked songs.
