Duplicated artists and doubts about uploading older releases

Duplicated artists and doubts about uploading older releases

Hello, I play in a band which released the 3rd album this year. This 3rd album was uploaded to Spotify by the guy from our label. Yesterday I uploaded the band's first 2 albums which were released a few years ago as self-released (no labels involved).

The problem is that now there are 2 artists with my band's name, the first artist has the 3rd album and the second artist has the band's 1st and 2nd albums.

How can I fix this into only one artist? And my big questions:

How would it be regarding royalties, etc... when both artists are merged by the spotify content staff?

Thank you

Hey @Infernalord,

Spotify’s working to make it easier for you to report problems with your music. For now, you’ll need to reach out to your distributor or aggregator and they’ll work with the Spotify team to make sure your profile gets fixed.

Regarding your question about royalties: You receive these individually from your distributor/label for each track/album, so it doesn't really matter what artist page the content is on.

Thank you very much for replying!

I will contact distrokid, the distributor I used for the uploads.
