Explicit Song Replaced With Clean Version

Explicit Song Replaced With Clean Version

One of my favorite songs (Everybody Wants to be Loved by Yoke Lore ft NVDES), was explicit when I added to my playlist.  Now however only the clean version plays (while still having the explicit tag) and there is no other version to listen to.

Why was my explicit version replaced with the clean version while it maintained the explicit symbol and why is there not two versions?

Hey @codyc92 ,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We can indeed see, that the track is labeled as "Explicit", even though it is a clean version.

We don't know why this is.

It could be a reupload of the content by the distributor and a replaced explicit version by the clean version, but without the actual tag being removed.

We'll get this reported right away, but can't tell if or when an explicit version will become available again, as the content on Spotify is added by the copyright holders, so we have no control over that.

Hope this clears things a little,

Cheers!

I have the same issue with the song "Drinking Sessions - Big K.R.I.T. (Feat. Keyon Harrold) it says its the explicit version yet every explicit aspect is cut, and left with silence. very annoying as this is an important song to me and it basically just doesn't carry the same weight the explicit version does

My Question or Issue

Recently noticed that on my top tracks past 30 days playlist there are clean versions of songs instead of the normal ones, Very frustrating and ruins the listening experience. For example, songs off of UTOPIA and BITTSM and Astroworld by Travis Scott and all of DAMN, gnx, and MMATBS by Kendrick Lamar, and all of SOS by SZA are replaced with clean versions. I also think some songs by Kanye West and Future are not available because there isn't a clean version but the playlist tries to replace them.

Explicit content is allowed and has been for the past 5 + years.
