Explicit songs in Discover Weekly, Release Radar, etc.

Explicit songs in Discover Weekly, Release Radar, etc.

Hi there,

I have songs with explicit lyrics turned off. However, I still get songs marked as explicit in my auto-generated playlists like Discover Weekly, Release Radar, etc. Just today for example, I have five explicit songs in my Discover Weekly. It seems kind of pointless to put them there since they won't play anyway; those five slots could have been filled with other songs that I might have listened to and liked (I often do find new favorites through Discover Weekly).

I would recommend that when I user has explicit songs turned off in their settings, don't add such songs to their auto-generated playlists. Or, if more granular control is desired, have a separate setting for whether or not to add them.

Thanks for your consideration!

Hey there @inejwstine

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, are the songs marked as explicit in your recommendations or they aren't marked but still have explicit lyrics?

On another note, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. This will trigger a sync between your account and device.

Additionally, does this happen across devices or only on a specific one?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Yes, the songs are marked as explicit with the [E] symbol, and as I mentioned they are automatically skipped since I have explicit songs turned off. But they still are added to the Discover Weekly, etc. playlists. And they appear in the playlists on both PC and android.

Also, I tried logging out and back in twice in a row as you suggested. It didn't change anything in the playlist, but we'll see next week when it regenerates.
