How Would I Stop Some Songs From Playing In A Playlist?

Hey guys! Ive been listening to the official Spotify guardians of the galaxy mixtape but I don't want it to play the songs from the soundtrack of the movie as they're just instrumentals. It's a public playlist so I can't edit it, how would I just stop it from playing them?

Thanks for reaching out. When it comes to playlists Spotify has generated for you, you can hide songs that you don't want to appear and you can manage what is included in such recommendations as shown here. Be advised though that this doesn't apply to albums or playlists created by other people. There, you can simply skip songs you don't want to hear.

Does hiding a song hide it everywhere in Spotify or only the playlist or album?

At the moment, hiding a song only affects that particular album/playlist and that particular device, however, there's this idea about allowing the feature to sync across all devices and albums/playlists, which you may find interesting, so feel free to check it out and share your feedback.
