How to delete an individual album or song listing

How to delete an individual album or song listing

I have recently signed a new publishing deal with a different entity and setup an LLC. I have significantly edited, remixed and remastered a previous project (Re-released) with new copyright & publishing terms, and new publishing and licensing agreements and entities, which contain mandatory release rebranding and distribution terms. How do I delete a previous album that is now in violation of publishing and/or copyright agreements?  My re-release contains correct and compliant publishing and branding.  My previous release is now incorrect and in violation of my new publishing and copyright agreements. I do not want to completely shut down my account, just update it to make it legally compliant. Please advise the protocol to notify Spotify of a legally required album/song deletion request;

It's important to mention that, in some cases, when it comes to deleting albums or songs on Spotify, the request must be made by the aggregator responsible for publishing the content. This is because the aggregator has direct control over the material that was submitted to the platform.

If you are working with a specific aggregator to publish your music on Spotify, it is recommended to contact them and explain the situation. They can assist in managing the request to remove previous versions of the songs while maintaining the plays on the new versions, as agreed upon in your new publishing contracts. This will allow you to update your account legally and keep the continuity of listens to the songs in the new formats.

Make sure to provide all relevant details, including the specific songs you wish to remove and the new versions that have been released. By collaborating with your aggregator, they can help facilitate the deletion process and ensure that your account is updated and legally compliant.

Remember that clear and open communication with your aggregator is essential to resolving this issue properly and efficiently. They are responsible for managing the content submitted to Spotify on your behalf and can help ensure that your songs are maintained in compliance with your new publishing contracts and copyrights.
