I am trying to find a song that was removed from the spotify 'alternative R&B' playlist

Ok, so heres what i know.

when i have a playlist on, i rarely look at the artist because ill be walking, travelling etc.

the song was removed from the Spotifys 'alternative R&B' playlist a few weeks ago now.

the singer is male, with a falsetto type voice (similar to how to dress well, aquilo, jack garrett, the song itself is similar to 'the love youre given')

i remember a couple of things in the song, the chorus, although the words are a bit shaky, "tell me (insert words)... tell me that hes justa friend... tell me how we came to be so different (maybe)... all this is sang in a falsetto tone with "oo oo oo oooo oo" repeated in almost a haunting tone.

it is killing me not knowing what song it is, ive tried using google for lyrics but i feel it hasnt had much exposure so the lyrics might not even be online, nightmare.

if you can help ill happily send you  mosquito repellant, a cactus, a few whiteboard markers, and some tomato juice (things next to me on my desk)
